Hello!
For the upcoming Danzation Audition, there will be Part A & B. Please refer to the following details:
Date: 23 June 2012 (Saturday)
Time: 9am - 10pm
Venue: Music Box Theater, Blk 73 level 3 (just outside the lift)
Part A – Solo Segment
Objective:
To feature the strengths of each individual
dancer in a 1-minute solo performance.
Registration
Details:
Duration: 9 am to 10 am
Venue: Outside the Music Box
A booth will be set up outside the Music
Box for registration of attendance.
Each dancer will be given a number tag
before they proceed to the Theater.
Please note that registration will be a first-come-first-served basis. Your
performance sequence will thus, also be on a first-come-first-served basis.
Please note that late-comers (past 10 am) will not be
entertained, i.e. You will lose your 1-minute solo performance
opportunity.
Audition
Details:
Duration: 10 am to 3 pm
Venue: Inside the Music Box
Each dancer will perform their 1-minute
solo item on stage.
Part B – Choreography
Segment
Objective:
To feature dancers’ versatility and
affinity to the genres presented in the performance.
Registration
Details:
Duration: 3 pm to 4 pm
Venue: Outside the Music Box
5 different booths for the following genres
will be set up:

Hip hop
-
Street Jazz
-
Contemporary Jazz
-
Waacking
Each dancer will register based on the
genres they have signed up for and will be given different color tags for their
respective genres.
Dancers will proceed to learn the choreography
before showcasing what they have learnt on stage. The respective timeslots for
the learning and showcasing of the different choreographies will be conveyed at
a later time.

of audition music:

Please rename your music track to full name
(as registered). Eg ZhangGuoZhengLester.mp3
You
can start submitting your music piece from now till the deadline. But please do
not wait till the deadline to submit. You are encouraged to do so earlier.
Please ensure that your music track is in a
.mp3 format.
Any late submissions will be ignored.

FAQ
Q: Is the 1-minute solo compulsory?
A: Yes it is compulsory to choreograph and
perform a 1-minute solo piece for the audition.
Q:
Do we need to do a 1-minute solo piece for every genre that I have registered
for?
A: No, you will only need to perform
ONE 1-minute solo piece that will
showcase your strength as a dancer.
Q: What if I am not able to make it for the
auditions?
A: Please inform Krisha via email Danzationmatters@gmail.com by 21
June 2359hours with a valid reason.
Q: What if I cannot make for the
registration timings and I have a valid reason?
A: Please inform Krisha via email Danzationmatters@gmail.com by 21
June 2359hours with your reason.
Q: When will the results for the audition
be out?
A: The result will be posted on the NRA
blog on 27 June 2012 (Wednesday) at 2359hours.
Q: If I am currently suspended from NRA
class can I still audition?
A: For people who are suspended due to
GPA<2.0 but pass all modules: You
are allowed to audition.
For people with GPA<2.0 and fail any modules: Not allowed to
audition.
People who fail any modules: Not allowed to
audition.
