Danzation Training Workshop

In the next two weeks, from 9 July 2012 to 21 July 2012, NRA will be conducting genre-specific courses instead of normal classes. We regret to inform those who did not sign up for Danzation that they will not be able to participate in this workshop. However, do refer to the ‘Funk Fridays’ section for details of the popping and locking workshop which is open for all.

Purpose of the course:

The purpose of this short course is to better equip all students involved in Danzation with better executions and thus bringing Danzation to another level of excellence. 

How it works: 

Each session is 2 hours (excluding stretching, warm-up and attendance taking). All students who sign up for Danzation auditions will have to attend the course. And each student will only be able to take the genres that they have applied for. For example if you have applied for Hip Hop and Waacking, you have to attend only hip hop and Waacking. Likewise if you have signed up for all genres, you are required to go for all 4 main genres. Attendance is expected to not fall below 70% for each genre if not you will not be in the item even if you were selected during auditions. If you have applied for 3 or more genres and are struggling with school work, please approach Amanda (96338135) with valid reasons. We will review on a case to case basis and try to work something out that will not affect your studies. Please note that the course will only last for 2 weeks before rehearsals start. 

Price / Cost:

It is decided that each student only need to pay ONCE a week. Since attendance will be taken for each class, once you pay for class for the week you will be exempt from paying for the rest of the week. The cost of ALL classes that you have to take in A WEEK is $4.


UPDATE* However, people with only 1 genre will only need to pay $2 since they are only attending 1 class.

*For people who were absent and people who will be reauditioning, we are working on the class allocation right now. Please be patient and check the blog regularly for updates.

Funk Fridays:

As you noticed on Friday we have Popping and Locking. These 2 genres will be opened to ALL interested members. Please sign up by next Tuesday, 10 July 2012, 2359 at the link below

** Please take note that Lester is helping to teach Locking because he is well equipped to teach Locking foundations. He is not in the teaching crew but he was handed this task with much confidence from Ann and the rest of the teaching crew. He will be leading these 2 weeks only so please give him much needed support.

***For people who did not sign up for Danzation, they are to pay $2 for each class that they take.
