Hello!

Keeping the studio clean is EVERY MEMBERS responsibility. We have implemented a new rules and edited the rules and regulation. Please take some time to read up on this important issue!


1. No food and drinks to be consumed in the studio
- You are allowed to bring in bottled drinks (no cups) or food that is in a container but consumption must be OUTSIDE the studio.
- Sweets are allowed (not allowed when having dance class) with proper disposal of sweet wrappers.

2. Personal belongings/Rubbish
- We will not hold any responsibility for any lost of personal belongings so do check yourself before you leave the studio.
- Keep the studio clean. Do NOT litter!
- The rubbish bin in the studio is NOT meant for throwing chocolate/sweet wrappers. It will attract ants.
- It is only for paper/non-food disposal.
- Any food disposal, please do so at the rubbish bin at level 3 toilet or elsewhere.

3. Penalty
- If there are leftover litters outside the studio after classes end, there will be a penalty of NO FOOD AND DRINKS OUTSIDE THE STUDIO for 1 week.
- All NRA members are required to abide to this rule. We will post on the blog if there is an ongoing penalty.
- If anybody violates this 1 week penalty (for eg. still bring food or drinks and put them outside the studio within that 1 week of penalty period), we will extend the penalty to 2 weeks.
- Please be reminded that whatever you do will affect the whole club. Please do your part to keep our studio clean!

4. Wearing of proper attire
- Wearing of slippers, pumps, caps, shorts, jeans and accessories are not allowed during classes.
- Ear studs are allowed.
- If you are inappropriate attire, the instructor or committee members have the right to stop you having taking the class.
- During dance practices for performances or competition, choreographers will determine what is suitable.

5. Results and result slips
- All result slips are to be sent to the current secretary of NRA within one week from the day the results are released.
- The result slips are to be sent via an e-mail by attaching a print screen of the results on NPal Student website.
- Failing of any module or if your GPA falls below 2.0, it will lead to suspension from being able to participate in dance performances and competitions, depending on the severity, the committee and crew will decide on the duration of suspension. If need be, there might be a suspension from dance classes as well.
- If you fail to submit the result slip before the deadline, you will be deregistered from NRA.

6. Usage of studio
- No one except committee members and crew members are allowed to open the studio/ hold studio key.
- The person(s) using the studio is/are responsible of ensuring the cleanliness in the studio.
- The committee member or crew member who booked the studio will be responsible for the sound system.

7. Usage of clubroom
- Whoever that is the last one to leave the clubroom, please LOCK the clubroom.
- Keep the clubroom tidy and litter free.

8. Absence and Attendance matters
- Year 1: Below 50% (no promotion)
              Below 70% (no performances)
- Year 2: Below 40% (no promotion)
              Below 60% (no performances)
- Year 3: Below 35% (no performances)
- If you cannot make it for a class, please inform the treasurer in advance and email the secretary the reason of your absence. For eg. MC, school letter, proof of certain even, etc.
- If you email the secretary the proof but did not inform the treasurer regarding your absence, or vice versa, you will not be excused for the class and this will affect your attendance percentile.
- Not coming for class because you need to do project is NOT a valid excuse.
- For dance practices, you must inform the person-in-charge and the choreographer if you are not able to turn up for the practice. This has to be done one day before.
- All the informing of absences must be done personally.

9. Punctuality
- Anyone late for classes for more than 15 minutes will not be allowed to attend the class.
Please inform the treasurer if you will be slightly late for class.

10. Behavior in class
- Try not to talk or engage in small conversation when the instructor is talking during class.
- Always ask for permission from the instructor before you go and do your own things during class. This includes drinking of water, answering of phones if it is an urgent call, going to the restroom, and etc.
- Choreographers have the right to ask you to leave the class.

11. Performances and Competitions
- The president and/or vice-president of the club must be notified if you wish to take part in any performances or competitions outside of NRA.
- The committee and crew will decide if that person or group can take part in the performance or competition.

12.   No vulgarities allowed
- It is a basic respect to the people around you not to use foul words.
